Drama at Westminster School maintains a long, fine tradition in staging many plays and musicals over the years. While Year 11 and 12 affords students opportunities to perform to a high standard, on stage or backstage, in Curriculum required performances for which they are awarded SACE grades, the School also offers co-curricular drama for year 8-10 students. Students may elect to study Drama sequentially from year 8 right through to year 12 or in Semester modules until Year 11. We produce three dramatic productions each year and a biennial Musical, involving all year levels.

Irrespective of experience, students have the opportunity to perform. There is scope for students to be actively involved in all facets of a production, including performance, technical (lighting, sound), backstage, set design, set painting, publicity, photography, costumes and make-up. The School runs a series of workshops in the performing arts, often in our renowned Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts, which provides excellent on and off-stage learning experiences for all our performing arts students.
