Performing Arts and Dance

The Michael Murray Centre for Performing Arts, opened in 1988, provides extensive facilities for music, drama, workshops, seminars and associated events. It contains a concert hall that seats up to 800 and a drama theatre with seating for up to 215 (both can be combined into one venue). It also features a music rehearsal studio, drama studio, keyboard laboratory and numerous music practice rooms. Recently, we have undertaken to upgrade the sound and lighting in the theatre to make this a truly state-of-the-art centre and one of a kind in South Australia.

The David Jarman Room, in the Sports and Swimming Centre, was opened in 2006 and provides an excellent dance studio / performance space. This venue can also be used as a function centre for small to medium events and social functions.
