In addition, we employ contemporary technology to stay on the forefront of technological developments and the demands of modern society. Westminster is a member of a worldwide association of schools sharing a commitment to democracy, environment, leadership, adventure, service and international focus in everyday school life.
When should I apply?
We recommend completing your Application for Admission to formally express your interest in Westminster as soon as possible after your child's birth. Applicants are placed on a waitlist for the relevant year level and year of entry in order of receipt, and will receive regular communication from our School.
Is it possible for my child to start straight away?
We accept applications for immediate commencement providing there are places available. These vacancies vary depending on the year level of entry and can be viewed here.
What age can my child start in Westminster ELC?
Westminster offers Early Learning for children from the age of three. We offer Early Learning Centre (ELC) intakes in both Term 1 and Term 3. All children are required to be fully toilet trained and ready for a full-day program before attending the Centre.
Does Westminster School offer a mid-year Reception intake?
Westminster remains committed to offering mid-year Reception intake to accommodate all birth dates. We believe in working with our families to provide students with a smooth transition into school when they are ready to do so. As a guide, students who turn five years of age between 1 October and 30 April in the following year may commence Reception in Term 1 of the following year. Students who turn five years of age between 1 May and 30 September may commence Reception in Term 3.

How are students prioritised for entry?
Applications are waitlisted and places offered subject to the following considerations:

- Alumni, or children of alumni of the School;
- Returning students, who were offered priority at the time of departure;
- The child of a permanent staff member (subject to availability);
- A student enrolled in the School’s ELC seeking entry to Reception;
- Children of other families who apply in the first year after birth;
- A child not prioritised above, will be waitlisted based on the number of months since the application for enrolment was placed on the waitlist.
- In relation to boarding enrolments;
- A boarding application may be given priority on the waiting list according to the places available, subject to interview and readiness for boarding.
- A child eligible for a priority offer of enrolment;
- A sibling of a child currently boarding at the School;
- A child whose circumstances currently make it difficult to travel to and from School each day.
Can I change my mind about the intended year of entry?
Yes. If you wish to bring forward or defer entry for your child, please email Enrolments. The team will confirm receipt of the request and whether the transfer is possible. If we are unable to transfer the enrolment due to desired year level being at capacity, your child’s name will be placed on the waiting list for the transfer year in order of the application date.
Is there a school bus service?
