Westminster Year 7 Camp

With an emphasis on Outdoor Education, the annual Westminster Year 7 Camp provides an immersive experience for students to develop decision-making, team building, group and personal skills. Students will be involved in a wide range of activities and challenges in varying controlled environments, which will allow them to foster and strengthen independence and interdependent skills and behaviours. Students will explore activities including adventure trails, initiative games, and a new high ropes course at Douglas Scrub.

The Year 7 Camp is designed to build on the skills developed in the Preparatory School Outdoor Education program and will also serve as an introduction for students unfamiliar with living and learning in an outdoor environment. The camp will also serve as a foundation for Year 8 Camp, Year 9 Westventure, Year 10 WestQuest, and the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Program.
