Westminster Year 8 Camp

With an emphasis on Outdoor Education, the annual Westminster Year 8 Camp provides a well-rounded experience for students to challenge themselves across a five-day intensive program. Students will be involved in a wide range of activities, providing the opportunity to enhance their environmental awareness, and develop their personal, group, and leadership skills.

The Westminster Year 8 Camp is inclusive of a 2.5-day residential experience hosted at Willow Creek Adventure Camp, and concludes with a 2.5-day bushwalk along sections of the Heysen Trail in the vicinity of Waitpinga.

This camp is designed to build on the Year 7 Camp, introducing expedition skills, consolidate camping skills, working collaboratively, and building stronger, healthier relationships with students and staff. This camp will also develop a foundation for future signature Westminster experiences, including Year 9 Westventure, Year 10 WestQuest, the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Program and senior Outdoor Education activities.
