Hot weather policy for co-curricular activities

Our Hot Weather Policy is being reviewed and will soon be available on our website. Please monitor communications for updates and any changes to sessions over the coming week.
Preparatory School
Summer Co-Curricular
Most Preparatory School sports competitions will commence in Week 3, with Volleyball getting underway in Week 2. This time of year brings excitement, and often a few nerves, for many children. Your support and encouragement will make a big difference as they step into new challenges and experiences.
Nick Warren, Head of PE and Co-Curricular, had the privilege of coaching a Year 2 cricket team in their first Master Blaster match. Their enthusiasm and growing skills were a joy to see, but it was their smiles after taking their first catch, scoring their first boundary, or getting their first wicket that stood out the most. These moments are the foundation for a lifelong love of sport - proof of what’s possible when opportunity meets belief.
Senior School
Highlight of the Week
We officially launched our Cricket season on Wednesday evening, with a fantastic turnout from parents and students alike. The evening featured a captivating Question & Answer session with Old Scholar Thomas Kelly (’18), current player for South Australia and the Adelaide Strikers. Thomas was joined by Year 12 student and First XI cricketer Riley Masters, who toured the UK with Westminster Cricket last year and recently represented South Australia in the U/17 National Cricket Championships. The session provided a valuable opportunity for our aspiring cricketers to gain insight and inspiration from both current and Old Scholars excelling in the sport.
Looking Forward to This Week
Our Summer Sport program kicks off in full this week. After an exciting series of early matches, including a thrilling victory by our Senior A Girls' Basketball team over Seymour, we’re gearing up for a full schedule. Boys' and Girls' Volleyball, Girls' Basketball, Tennis, Swimming, Boys' Cricket, and Boys' Badminton will all be taking to the courts and fields for their first games of the season. This season, we’re encouraging students to show strong commitment to their chosen sports. This includes maintaining good communication with team managers, attending training regularly, wearing the correct uniform, and being punctual for games. We look forward to seeing you out on the oval or courts, supporting our teams and sharing in the excitement of the season ahead.
