Second Hand Uniform
Second Hand Uniform is accepted on a consignment basis. Once items are sold, 50% of the selling price will be credited to the school account for current families and a bank transfer will be arranged for families who no longer have students at the school. Payments for the sale of second hand goods for split families with current students will be credited to the school fee account.
Please ensure all garments are freshly laundered with blazers and winter skirts dry cleaned (dry cleaning docket to be attached). The Westminster Shop can arrange dry cleaning for you if required. We are unable to accept any blazers with obvious sleeve alterations and if the blazer is missing buttons the sale price will be reduced. Buttons are available to purchase through the Westminster Shop.
Due to allergies, any clothing with animal hair will be considered a donation to an overseas mission.
We cannot accept socks, ties, hats, scarves, bathers and discontinued uniform items. We also cannot accept thin, worn, stained or obvious altered items.
The Uniform Shop Manager reserves the right to dispose of any garments considered unsuitable for sale and the Uniform Shop staff will determine the selling price. All items suitable for sale will be held for a period of 12 months and if not sold during the timeframe will be donated to an overseas mission if appropriate.
Donations of second hand uniform are gratefully accepted.
Uniform Guidelines
Winter uniform may be worn on any day of the year unless a different uniform is prescribed. Summer uniform may be worn only before the May exeat and after the September exeat. Summer uniform may not be worn between those dates.
General Guidelines
School blazers are to be worn to and from School every day when wearing the Winter uniform. When wearing Summer uniform, blazers are required on days when students attend Chapel or Assembly or as directed on special occasions. Students are not required to wear blazers if the forecasted temperature is 30 degrees or more. The School blazer is considered the outer garment for the School uniform but the School jumper is not an outer garment for the School uniform or for any co-curricular uniform that may be worn to and from School.
Years 6 and 12 hoodies are not outer garments to wear with the School uniform when coming to or going from School as they do not form part of the official School uniform; they may only be worn while at School.
Co-curricular hoodies are to be worn only for sporting matches and other co-curricular activities as determined by the occasion; in these circumstances, they can be worn to and from School. School Bucket Hats are to be worn outside throughout Terms 1 and 4. This includes recess, lunch, physical education lessons and after-school play. Outdoor co-curricular activities also require students to wear an approved hat to suit the sport or activity.
School bags must feature the School badge/logo.
