Realising a vision for the future
Weaving a rich tapestry in the history of Westminster School; in 2023, a new vision was defined for Sturt Grove Farm.
Working closely in partnership with Thomas Foods International, and with a view to expand and elevate curricular offerings and community presence on campus, the Sturt Grove Farm redevelopment project was undertaken. Providing an exciting evolution for the Agriculture program at Westminster, the redevelopment marks a meaningful milestone in the history of Westminster School.
The Sturt Grove Farm redevelopment project has expanded the reach of the Farm, benefitting every student from ELC to Year 12. The Farm provides a space which educates students around the importance of efficient and sustainable agriculture, teaches concepts of biodynamic and organic practices, and builds an understanding of how technology, science, and design support the industry to ultimately foster a sense of connection to the natural world.
At the completion of the redevelopment in September 2024, Westminster was delighted to launch the Thomas Foods International Centre for Agriculture to the Westminster community, who we thank for their generous donations which aided the advancement of this major investment project.
