Head of Boys' Boarding

About the Head of Boys' Boarding
Are you an engaging, compassionate and experienced professional skilled in providing effective pastoral care to girl boarders in years 7-12. We are seeking a can-do person who has a thorough understanding of adolescents and the ability to develop effective relationships with students, parents and staff. Your passion to provide the best residential care for our students will be evident and is essential to the role.
This position will include a partial teaching load.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Working closely with Director of Boarding to achieve the best outcomes for boarding students.
- Take oversight of, and responsibility for, general wellbeing, behaviour, discipline, and morale of boy boarders.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day facility management and general state and appearance of the Boys' Boarding House.
- Lead and manage the boys' boarding house staff including the roster management.
- Foster strong relationships with Boarder parents and communities, communicating with individual parents regarding the needs of their children.
- Ensure boarding house compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. WHS).
- Undertake a teaching load of up to 0.4 FTE within the Senior School.
You will demonstrate natural ability to deliver pastoral care to adolescent boys, be an excellent communicator, patient, nurturing and compassionate, a team leader who inspires others to learn and grow. Previous experience in a leadership role, especially in a boarding environment, will be highly regarded. Teaching qualifications essential.

Preparatory School Teacher - Digital Technologies
Fixed term, 0.8 FTE part-time position – Commencing 20 April 2026 for Term 2 to cover for a permanent staff member on leave.
We are seeking a suitability qualified and motivated Digital Technologies (IT) Teacher to join our team in our Prep School Team for Term 2, teaching primary students. You will be an enthusiastic, resilient and optimistic educator with a high level of organisational ability. You have a flexible approach, able to prioritise and manage multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. High level communication skills well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team will see you succeed in this short-term role.
Teachers' Key Responsibilities include:
- Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning
- Plan and organise content into coherent, well-sequenced learning and teaching programs in line with the Australian Curriculum and Faculty curriculum documentation
- Provide feedback and professional support to improve individual student learning outcomes

We are seeking a suitably qualified and passionate teacher to join our Languages team on a temporary basis to work across the Senior School from Years 7 to 9 teaching Mandarin. You will be expected to maintain the highest standards of preparation for teaching and learning, student management, personal presentation and punctuality. Senior Administration Officer
This key position supports the Director of Learning and contributes to the smooth operation of Senior School teaching, learning and assessment programs. The role also provides professional customer service to students and parents and works collaboratively with the wider School administration team.
Reporting to the Office Manager (Senior School), the successful applicant will play an important role in maintaining effective School operations, supporting continuous improvement, and contributing positively to Westminster’s culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative and confidential support to the Director of Learning, including diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination, reports and presentations
- Coordinate administrative processes supporting Senior School curriculum, subject selection and enrolment activities
- Manage assessment and reporting processes, including SEQTA reporting, academic reports, awards and certificates
- Support student learning programs, including booklists, distance education, ACER PAT testing and NAPLAN administration
- Provide professional customer service to students and parents in person, by phone and email
- Assist with committees, events, examinations and School functions
- Maintain accurate records, databases and systems with a strong focus on detail and compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the School administration team

You will bring strong administrative expertise, excellent organisational skills and a calm, professional approach to a busy environment. You enjoy working collaboratively, can manage competing priorities, and are confident handling sensitive and confidential information.

Boarding House Nurse

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide primary and holistic health care, predominantly to boarding students. Primary and holistic health care in a school setting includes (but is not limited to) the delivery of quality preliminary assessment, treatment and then referral of ill or injured students. This autonomous position provides a range of services, including high level first aid, emergency treatment, medication administration, education and support for chronic illnesses, making appointments with external providers for students, and maintaining health care plans and other documentation. The School Nurse liaises with key Boarding staff, Health Centre staff, and members of the Wellbeing Team in the provision of holistic health care that reflects the mental, emotional and physical needs of the student.
Hours of duty
The School Nurse is expected to work 37.5 hours per week, across 40 weeks per year in school term time. Some on call and out of hours work is required to be successful in this position. From time to time when not required in Boarding, the School Nurse will work in the Health Centre.
You will present as a positive, personable and professional practitioner, with experience in health promotion and education, preferably in an education setting working with adolescents and children. Registration with the Nurses Boarding of South Australia with a practicing certificate with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post-registration experience is essential to this role. Previous experience working as a School Nurse, Accident and Emergency and or Paediatric Nurse is an advantage.
